Rosi & Gardner's Areas of Practice

Our Commitment

At Rosi & Gardner, we strive to be both the attorneys and the counselors at law for our clients. Your attorney should be someone you know, someone who knows you, and someone to whom you can turn in difficult times, or for confidential planning. We provide personalized legal services to our clients in the following areas of practice:

Areas of Practice

OIL AND GAS LANDOWNER RIGHTS - Much of our practice focuses on representing landowners in matters involving oil and gas interests. Whether you need advice and counsel, representation in lease negotiations, or to protect your rights through litigation, we have the knowledge and experience to assist you.

CIVIL LITIGATION - Sometimes, litigation is unavoidable. Whether your case involves a breach of contract, a real estate dispute, collection, or any other civil dispute, our attorneys can advise you how best to proceed, and serve as your court advocate for all proceedings.

ADMINISTRATIVE LAW - On occasion, state or federal administrative agencies can hold decision-making authority in your matter. If you have matters pending, or you are considering an application or appeal to an administrative agency, our attorneys can advise and represent you. Whether it is the Michigan Liquor Control Commission (MLCC) regarding a liquor license for your business, the Drivers License Appeal Division (DLAD) regarding a drivers license restoration, the Supervisor of Wells (a division of the Department of Environmental Quality), or the Social Security Administration, we can help to both protect your interests and to achieve your objectives before the agency making the decision.

FAMILY LAW - The attorneys in our office are experienced in representing individuals in divorce, custody, and child support matters. Even in uncontested cases, it is important to have an knowledgeable advocate to guide and advise you. Our attorneys will seek to protect your interests, while understanding that these matters often present difficult issues with a difficult legal process.

BUSINESS FORMATION - Whether you are creating a new business, considering incorporating an existing one, or adding a new partner or investor, our attorneys can advise you. We can discuss the options with you, from partnerships to limited liability companies (LLCs) and corporations, and the advantages and limitations of each. We can then help you prepare, file and maintain all of the documents necessary for your business entity.

PROBATE & ESTATE PLANNING - Properly structuring your estate can save taxes, pass more of your Estate to your heirs, protect interests of beneficiaries, assist when the appointment of legal guardian is appropriate, and provide for the needs of your loved ones during their lives. Or, if a loved one has left you in charge of his or her affairs, we can help you safely navigate the probate and/or trust administration process.

CRIMINAL DEFENSE - If you or a family member find yourself charged with a crime, or under investigation, we can help. We have represented individuals in both misdemeanor and felony matters, including trial by jury. Criminal charges of any kind are a serious matter, fraught with pitfalls. One who is charged with a crime or named as a suspect should contact professional legal counsel as early in the process as possible.

CONSUMER & CREDIT LAW - To protect purchasers of consumer goods, including such diverse items as mortgages and automobiles, specialized sets of law exist, including the Michigan Consumer Protection Act (MCPA), the federal Truth in Lending Act (TILA), and the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA). We can assist you regarding issues or questions that you may have about your credit report or identity theft. Our attorneys are experienced in evaluating and using these laws, and can advise you if you should seek protection or relief under them.

REFERRAL - We are committed to ensuring that our clients receive the best legal services for their needs. If we determine that your needs can be best met by referral to other professionals, we will not hesitate to recommend your matter be referred to other counsel. Our primary objective is to ensure that you receive the services best suited to your needs.
